Part of our Mission Statement here at St. James School says, “Since 1890, Saint James School has been committed to the development of the whole child." With this in mind, our school offers a variety of clubs, and activities for all grade levels.
Primo Coro
This ensemble is available to students in grades four and five. It provides an excellent opportunity to learn self-discipline, group cohesiveness, and trust, as students develop their voices within a vocal ensemble. Students will learn to sing a variety of choral literature and styles from around the world in unison and some two-part harmony. Through weekly rehearsals, various musical concepts are taught with an emphasis on those skills relating to singing: correct breathing and vocal techniques (diction, blend, balance, phrasing, intonation, articulation, and tone quality). This ensemble has two main performances: Christmas and Spring Concerts. It also performs at various community events.
